Remembering the Boston Tea Party

It was on this day in 1773 that the world-famous Boston Tea Party occurred, so today I thought I'd show you my floaty pen commemorating the event!

I'm a pen fanatic as well as a tea fanatic, so when I saw this pen several years ago I just had to have it.

At left you can see the crates of tea.

Tilt the pen to the right and before you know it, those crates are in the water behind the ship. Yes, I know, I'm easily amused. Happy Boston Tea Party Day!

  1. That's cute! I didn't realize today was the anniversary. For as poplular as that event is, I'm surprised there isn't more mention of it around here.

  2. An interesting point of history today, could you imagine being an 'eyewitness' to that event?
Both my parents were born in the Boston / Worcester, Mass area and we spent quite a few summers following the 'Freedom Trail' and visiting museums in the area.
So much history up there - your pen makes me smile!
    Have a good day, Joanie

  3. Oh and you collect pens too. Love this one. It is so easy to end up having collections of different things, but I sometimes have to stop myself - no room in the inn.
