I've been looking for a pretty, smallish, luncheon-sized plate for weeks now. I've got a certain photo in mind, and I need a pretty plate for styling it. I checked eBay, antique malls, but nothing suited. Then yesterday, I went across the street to visit my friends at What's in Store, and there was THE plate. Pink roses, softly-faded gold border, great shape. Loved it!
Loved the price too!
It was completely a bonus that I also found this pretty English bone china teacup and saucer for $6.99. This will make a great fall teacup, don't you think? I am so ready for fall. In fact, if you'll stop by tomorrow, I've got a fall-themed giveaway that may interest some of you!
Good things come to those who wait.
ReplyDeleteYour new plate is just beautiful and looks as if it was well loved.
The bonus cup and saucer is the icing on the tea cake.

Beautiful bargains!! My favorite kind...
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to seeing the photo that uses your new plate. Your cup & saucer is lovely too, with such a good price. To me, a red/pink rose design is a classic on a cup and saucer, and I don't yet have it in my collection. That's on my look-for list.
ReplyDeleteThat plate was an INSANE deal! And guess what, I have that cup too! I can not wait to see what you are going to put on that plate. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteHello, Angela - I love that plate! You are such a great Treasure Hunter. Can't wait to see the photo you come up with, for the new plate. Take care,

That is a perfect plate, so very pretty. Nice teacup too, but really like the plate. Now I am wondering what you are going to style on it? Hummmm?
ReplyDeleteThose plates so
ReplyDeletelook much like those I found a year or two ago at the old antiques mall that closed on Temple.
Both the cup and saucer and plate are very pretty. I love anything roses.
