Winding up the trip to Wisconsin

As I wind up my week of talking about thrifting and antiquing in Wisconsin, I thought that some of you might enjoy seeing how our grandsons have grown since I last showed you photos of them here on the blog! That's Andrew in front of me and Michael in front of Alex.

And here they are with parents Brad and Heather when we decided to squeeze in a last-night walk at Voyager Park along the Fox River in De Pere.

The views were stunning everywhere I looked!

As always, I can't resist taking a few flower photos along the way.

We had so much fun celebrating Andrew's ninth birthday, visiting with our Wisconsin family, and enjoying a little shopping along the way. So until the next trip, that's it from the Badger State, and thanks for reading, friends!

  1. Your grandsons are so cute! And they've grown so much. That is such a beautiful photo of the sunset over the river. I love the flower photos, too--what is that interesting flower in the upper right hand corner? I'm glad you and Alex had a very nice trip.

    1. Vernona, I'd never seen anything like this, and from the PlantNet app on my iPhone (very helpful), it appears to be Cyanus montanus, common name Mountain Bluet.

  2. Getting to see family is so special these days. So glad you could make the trip. Yes, I have to snap the flowers too. What a beautiful river view too.

  3. Your trip sounds wonderful, it is so good to be able to visit family again. I know the PEOPLE were the stars of this trip but I enjoyed seeing the flowers and scenery, too.

Thanks so much for taking time to leave a comment! It makes my day to hear from readers!
