Recently I wrote of discovering cider pitchers in an article in Country Gardens magazine. I said I wanted one. Well, now I have one, thanks to a gift from a generous friend who reads this blog!
Isn't this rose design simply beautiful?
My new cider pitcher, which is about as tall and as wide as a teapot, was made by R.S. Prussia according to the backstamp.
Even the back of the pitcher is just lovely. And the first time I come across some fresh apple cider this fall, you can bet I'll be trying it out in my new cider pitcher!
Dear Angela,
ReplyDeleteIt's a real beauty. What lovley roses and soft colors.
You have a nice friend indeed.

So happy for you, Angela! The pitcher is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOoh, that IS a pretty one! A lovely gift, and I'm sure the cider will taste extra good from such a nice pitcher.
ReplyDeleteHey - I LIKE DIAMONDS - maybe someone will send me one! Ha! I do love it that you received this and I thought of you at the antique mall when I saw one. In fact, I think it will be hard not to associate Angela with Cider Pitchers now!
ReplyDeleteJust make sure you serve "rose" cider in that one!
It is lovely! I can picture it's many uses. One such use might be a bouquet of peonies or camillias.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful friend you have!
