Oh, happy day! I think most of us here in tea-land are huge fans of the artist Sandy Lynam Clough, and the good people of Harvest House have sent me a copy of her newest release, "Sharing a Cup of Friendship." Isn't that cover painting absolutely charming? Although, really, what has she ever painted that wasn't? This new book is a small, 7x7-inch gift book, and I can already think of several friends I want to purchase a copy for.
In this book we are treated to some new paintings which feature hydrangeas, among other flowers, as well as a few new teatime pieces and lots of nature-themed paintings I've not seen before. Birds and eggs are so popular in the design world, and I'm delighted to see her take on them!
And roses. Ahhhh ... do we ever tire of roses? I don't! The book focuses on five different types of friends (Sweet Friend, Faithful Friend, Newfound Friend, Rainy-Day Friend and Special Friend), and I think *any* friend who occasionally enjoys a nice cup of tea would like this book. There's also a scone recipe included in each chapter, and I'm particularly interested in trying the Maple Oatmeal Walnut Scones with Maple Syrup Glaze this fall. For those of us who love all things Sandy Lynam Clough, this new book is definitely a must-have addition to the tea library!
Dear Angela,

It's beautiful. Deb
ReplyDeleteHer work is always lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love her books -- so beautifully done! When we made the move to full time RV living, my quilt and tea books were pretty much the only ones I didn't leave behind! :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, that looks like such a perfect gift for several of my friends (and for myself). I've already been to Amazon and added it to my wish list, (which is more like my shopping list) so I can remember it with my next order!
ReplyDeleteYippee, it is out! I have had it on my wish list for months. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love her paintings as well and the book looks charming. I'll check our Chapters book store, I have a gift card burning a hole in my wallet!
