Celebrate magazine offered to send me a sample issue, and of course I never turn down a free issue of any magazine so I said yes. When it arrived, I was enticed by this scrumptious looking Carrot Layer Cake on the cover, and inside ...
... I was happy to see that Editor-in-Chief Phyllis Hoffman DePiano has included a great feature on teatime using that blue-and-white color palette she's so fond of. Doesn't this make you want to go pull out some Blue Willow?
It's a fun feature about hosting a tea, but the thing I wanted to be sure to mention was that the article tells you where to go online so you can download their cute little tea tags. I'd never thought of "upgrading" the tags on teabags, but why not!
How funny that you posted this today. I was going through old magazines this morning and ran across one of her tablesettings with her blue and white. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love Celebrate!
I love the blue and white tea party. I don't think I've ever seen a presentation of blue and white that I didn't like. Thanks for the head's up on the magazine. I think the upgrade for tea bag labels are cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for featuring the current 2013 Spring issue of "Celebrate." While I don't have every issue of Celebrate, I have several. This issue looks like one I will want to purchase.
ReplyDeleteLove blue and white. Love pink and white. I love so many colors. Who would have thought to change the tags on tea bags. Why not just do your own monogram on the tea bag tags? The possibilities are endless. Looks like a great magazine. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI only serve loose leaf during tea time, but one year I had my biggest tea party - I think 20 people - was a combination Valentine's and small class reunion of some of my favorite hs friends.....and I made up teabag guests favors for them, they were really cute. I think that's the only time I can remember using teabags - unless I know non tea drinkers are attending something I am hosting - then I will have a small hot tea pot and some bags just in case...you know how we are always trying to get them to come over from the dark side, haha.
ReplyDeleteBut I love these - such a cute idea, and thanks so much for bringing it to our attention.
I enjoy reading Phyllis Depiano, her love of All Things Tea is awesome.
Have a wonderful and tealightful weekend, friend. Big hugs.
Looks like a great issue, Angela - I love the cover! I always enjoy this magazine, Joanie
ReplyDeleteThe tea tags are cute and who can resist a carrot cake that looks like that.
ReplyDeleteHey there! I'm at work surfing around your blog from my new iphone 4! Just wanted to say I love reading through your blog and look forward to all your posts! Keep up the excellent work!
