Now tea is not quite the beverage I usually associate with Ernest Hemingway, who liked a more potent brew, as I recall. And yet I couldn't help picking up this 99-cent sample of Ernest Hemingway Highland Select Tea when I came across it at World Market.
This tea says it is "infused with the author's spirit and passion for life." Since I've just finished writing a book and am ready to begin a new one (a novel, this time), I thought it might be good to drink some tea "infused with the spirit" of Hemingway. (It's a good, brisk black tea, by the way.)
So far I haven't felt inspired to write a thing, but I do have a sudden urge to visit Key West!
Interesting. Enjoy that tea.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen this tea - thanks for the review. I love the pretty teacup in your photo styling.
ReplyDeleteHope the novel involves a tea shop. :-)
Let me recommend a good read - have you read The Paris Wife? It's a book about one of Hemmingway's wives. Very good.
ReplyDeleteLOL! Loved your quip at the end. I just ordered a tin of the Royal Wedding Tea, by Harney & Sons. I can't wait until it comes it! :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it takes a few cups of this tea for the inspiration to seep into your head. :-) If only it were this easy.
ReplyDeleteA novel now...hmm, I do hope it revolves around tea somehow.
Good luck with your writing.
Judith
A novel! Can't wait to read it.
ReplyDeleteYou are funny! Maybe you need to drink more of the tea to be inspired. Now I have to check out the book Steph recommended.
