When I was doing some Christmas power shopping one Saturday in November, I came across some cute elephant-shaped tins of tea and bought one as part of a friend's Christmas gift. I wanted one for myself, and actually picked up the tin, but then I talked myself out of it because it was Christmas and I was supposed to be shopping for others. That made it all the more fun when I opened my gifts from a tea friend and found the very tea tin I'd wanted inside!
This tea is the Duchess Grey blend from Williamson Tea, and it is absolutely delicious and fresh tasting! I've found that because I drink Earl Grey tea just every now and then, each time I have a cup it's like I'm discovering this wonderful flavor anew, and I like it that way.
It's always a bit of a treasure hunt when you get a new tea like that. Would the teabags be large or small? Stringed or stringless? These are actually round like Republic of Tea's teabags, and I like those, especially when I'm at home and have teabag tongs to remove the teabag from my cup. I would have enjoyed receiving this cute tea tin regardless of whether or not anything was inside, but it was sure nice to find a cute tin *and* delicious tea as well!
I haven't tried Duchess Grey blend yet, but I do like Earl Grey. The elephant tin is pretty, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to receive exactly what you had wanted! Sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteDarling tea. My husband's favorite tea was Earl Grey and I'd love to brew some for him again. ♥♫
ReplyDeleteOoh, where did you find those? I picked up that tin in England this past month, but I'd love to try some of the other kinds.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were gifted with a tea you really wanted to try. What a cute tin!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very cute tin. I would have been thrilled to receive it and I love that last picture with the pink teacup. Just perfect.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! Fantastic.
ReplyDeleteBeth, the one I found was at a Marshall's store. So happy to have one for myself!
ReplyDeleteGreat tin & great tea - I must look for one of these! You find the neatest things, Angela. Thanks for sharing, Joanie
ReplyDeleteYour friend must be able to read your thoughts!! Sweet tea tin. I love Earl Grey, but have never tried Duchess Grey. I'll have to keep an eye out for that one.
