If you haven't yet seen the new Victoria Classics issue Teatime Bliss, from the folks behind Victoria magazine, you will want a copy, trust me! I especially enjoy looking in these "Classics" issues for photos by the original Victoria photographer, Toshi Otsuki, and sure enough, there are some in this issue as well.
A few of these images I have seen before in Victoria's sister publication, Tea Time, but I don't remember seeing this trifle before. I'd never thought of stacking the cake slices in a trifle this way. Brilliant! (There are lots of great recipes and seasonal menus in this special issue, too, so this magazine is definitely going to be a keeper.)
And I love hotel (and department store) silver, so this spread immediately caught my eye.
And for one more "teaser" photo, I wanted to show you this teacup. Check out the handle! Isn't that unique? This is one of those pieces that, alas, is from a private collection, but if you have any insight on what maker and pattern of teacup this is, I'm on a mission to find one like it!
You've made me realize that although I was on the fence about this magazine that I should get it to add to my Tea Time/Victoria collection!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely magazine issue. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've really enjoyed this special issue.
ReplyDeleteI anxiously await the arrival of my copy!
ReplyDeleteI have never purchased this magazine but plan to now. Love that tea-cup.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look for this special issue. The handle on the teacup looks like a bit of a challenge to hold on to without the cut out loop.

I'm delighted with my copy of this magazine.
ReplyDeleteLooking so forward to receiving my copy! I'm helping my daughter hostess a Sip & See tea to help her introduce little Ellie to all of our friends. Perhaps we'll find some inspiration in the pages! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning photos, Angela! Thanks for sharing.
