Valentine's Giveaway Week - Day One
Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday, and I thought it would be fun this week to share some of the vintage Valentines I've collected. I've scanned these at high resolution in case you want to drag them to your desktop and save them for some future crafty use. This one of a little girl and her doll at tea is marked on the back "Whitney Made, Worcester, Mass." So please consider this my first Valentine of the week to you, tea friends!
And here is the inside of this card (double-click the image to see it in detail). Now while everyone can enjoy collecting these cyber Valentines this week, I'll be having a giveaway for a real Valentine's goodie each day, Monday through Sunday, and feel free to enter every day! Anyone in the U.S. can enter, and all you have to do is leave a comment to the day's post before 7 a.m. EST the following day. (If you're not a blogger or don't have a Google account, that's no problem, just make sure I can identify and get in touch with you if you win. To remain semi-anonymous, just sign yourself something like "Angela in Georgia.")
So now to the really fun part! Today's giveaway is ... one yard of this yummy Valentine print fabric!
This pattern is called "With Love," by Sharon Evans Yenter for In the Beginning Fabrics. I'm thinking of scanning some vintage Valentines, transfer printing them onto white fabric, and then using my own yard of this fun Valentine fabric for the background. Maybe a little wall hanging? I'd love to hear what *you* would do with this fabric if you win. Good luck!
