Tea Toothpaste
It seems like I find a new tea product about every month, and this month it's Crest's Mint and Green Tea Extract toothpaste. It was on sale for $2 at Publix, and it actually tastes good!
Now I'm normally a Colgate girl, Total with Whitening, to be exact, but these days I sometimes go with what's on sale. So I was scanning the grocery store price tags and saw this new flavor. I was a little wary, because I once found some newfangled, flavored-up Colgate at the dollar store, and though I don't remember the flavor, I do remember that I nearly gagged on it. I've avoided offbeat toothpastes ever since. Toothpaste really, really ought to taste like ... toothpaste.
It's interesting that Crest chose to depict a mortar and pestle with tea leaves on the packaging. Why not a teacup? I guess they were trying for a medicinal/health approach. Whatever their reason, I am quite pleased with the new toothpaste. (Don't worry, Colgate. You know I always come back!)

I'm a Tom's toothpaste girl myself, but that new toothpaste is intruiging. I love it that you are always able to find new, interesting, tea-related products.
ReplyDeleteI will look for this! :-)
ReplyDeleteI realize this is an old post, but ever since seeing it I've been on the lookout for this toothpaste. I've finally found it (WalMart) and just wanted to say THANKS - it's a REALLY nice toothpaste. I love the taste. You find the coolest stuff!
