Teatime Bliss magazine

If you haven't yet seen the new Victoria Classics issue Teatime Bliss, from the folks behind Victoria magazine, you will want a copy, trust me! I especially enjoy looking in these "Classics" issues for photos by the original Victoria photographer, Toshi Otsuki, and sure enough, there are some in this issue as well.

A few of these images I have seen before in Victoria's sister publication, Tea Time, but I don't remember seeing this trifle before. I'd never thought of stacking the cake slices in a trifle this way. Brilliant! (There are lots of great recipes and seasonal menus in this special issue, too, so this magazine is definitely going to be a keeper.)

And I love hotel (and department store) silver, so this spread immediately caught my eye.

And for one more "teaser" photo, I wanted to show you this teacup. Check out the handle! Isn't that unique? This is one of those pieces that, alas, is from a private collection, but if you have any insight on what maker and pattern of teacup this is, I'm on a mission to find one like it!

You've made me realize that although I was on the fence about this magazine that I should get it to add to my Tea Time/Victoria collection!

I'll have to look for this special issue. The handle on the teacup looks like a bit of a challenge to hold on to without the cut out loop.

Looking so forward to receiving my copy! I'm helping my daughter hostess a Sip & See tea to help her introduce little Ellie to all of our friends. Perhaps we'll find some inspiration in the pages! :)
