A new Cranberry Apple Tart Herbal Tea

My oldest niece works in sales and travels a lot, so I was tickled when she told me of being on a work trip and going in The Spice & Tea Exchange to look for some new teas. Now, she's about to turn thirty, but this is a kid who was treated to tea parties from the time she was a very little girl, so when the man at the store asked her if she needed any help selecting some tea, she said no, thank you, that she just wanted to look around. Then he kept on bugging her, and he finally asked, "Do you know about tea?" Well, she was offended by that (how dare he question her!) and said, "Yes, I know about tea!" I'm lucky she didn't leave before getting me a couple of new varieties, including this one.

Even if you didn't know what kind it was, all those lovely bits of dried fruit and tiny cubes would probably tell you that it was cranberry and apple.

I steeped mine in this Tea Forté tumbler I found on Amazon a few years ago (love this style of tumbler), and I enjoyed multiple steepings using the same basket of loose tea.

While it was tart, as you would expect, from the cranberry, it also had a nice richness from the apple and spices, and I enjoyed it very much. (Just don't question my niece about her tea-selecting skills. Ha!)

  1. That man obviously didn’t know who he was talking to! The tea she picked looks and sounds delicious. You trained her well!

  2. That tea looks good enough to eat! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.
I was surprised to hear your town of Newnan mentioned on my all-news radio station here in Washington DC the other day! Of course, it was about the person who won millions of dollars in the Mega Millions lottery from a ticket bought at a Publix there in Newnan. I was glad to see that they plan to give some of the money to good causes and that their own family members had received the lottery’s HOPE scholarships in the past.

    1. Vernona, THIS is the Publix about two miles from my house, the one I visit several times a week, and now I find myself looking around and wondering if any of my fellow shoppers happen to be the winner. I think they're probably wise to want to remain anonymous!
