Recommended Reading: Flea Market Décor Magazine

Well, if the cold weather won't go away, at least I can refuse to succumb to it by filling my mind with visions of springtime, and the new issue of Flea Market Décor was a wonderful way to do that!

This teatime spread immediately caught my eye, especially that vanilla sponge cake with buttercream icing at left.

That cake wasn't the only one featured in this issue. Now I'm thinking I need a Valentine's cake for my Valentine's tea party. (I mentioned this upcoming party to my seven-year-old neighbor, who said, "Be sure to make extra cucumber sandwiches so you have some left over." I think I see where this is headed …)

As if all of that weren't enough to make me happy, the magazine also features plenty of pots and flowers to get us ready to play in the dirt again. (And I love flower frogs for some reason! I don't own a single one, but I think they're just charming.)

And with Easter coming early this year, I was delighted to see all of these vintage Easter toys! Yes, I've turned into that Baby Boomer who is trying to reclaim her childhood. Now if the thrift stores and antique shops would just cooperate. Meanwhile, if you need some fun reading for this cold weekend, I highly recommend this magazine!
