Some summery Le Palais des Thés blends

It's the first day of summer, and so some new tea blends are in order, don't you think? I decided to try some new samples I recently received from Le Palais des Thés.

First, from their Les Plaisirs Purs line is this La Fleur d'Oranger tea. This Chinese green features the flavor of orange blossoms, and the scent that greeted me when I opened the packet was orange and some undefinable something that made me think of the beach. (Although, I should confess that *everything* makes me think of the beach in summer!) I prepared this as hot tea and enjoyed the subtle orange taste. I'm thinking I should probably try it iced as well.

Le Citron is a black tea from Sri Lanka with lemon scents and natural flavors. When I opened the packet, I immediately thought of those lemon sour candies, so I knew a nice, lemony taste would probably await, and indeed it was a brisk, perky cup of tea, perfect for summer sipping. To see these and other Le Palais de Thés offerings, go here.

  1. Thank you, Angela- always so nice to come here and learn!

I am not a huge fan of green or of lemon so not sure these are for me - but my HUBS loves them both - esp lemon, so will let him know.

He brews tea all day and night and drinks it; but COLD in a biggest plastic mug we own. Yes, he is truly my polar opposite - in tea, temperature and vessel in which to gulp/sip. Haha. He is tall and thin and dark and I am short and light and not thin. Well, ok fat, but "not thin" sounds so much nicer to my eyes. ;- D

Feeling a giggle coming on, better end now before I go off the deep end.

  2. I do believe that if you want a flavored tea Le Palais des Thés is the place to shop. Just opening up their packages is pure delight.
