Michaels and Mary: Friends of tea lovers

Tea friend Janet P. in Texas has once again sent me scurrying to Michaels, this time for a terrific new line of Mary Engelbreit tea-themed goodies, including these totally gaudy, must-have rhinestone accents. No idea what I'll use these for, but I can't risk them getting gone while I figure it out!

Here's what was in the bag I left with that day, although there were actually many other designs. These current $1.50 goodies include a *lot* of tea loot, friends, and I hope to stock up even more when they knock them down to $1.

LOVE the new notecards!

And these may be my favorite "Mary" cupcake papers ever!

Finally, who could resist such a sweet little rubber stamp! Isn't it fun when something under $2 brings us so much happiness?

  3. Angela, I am trying to stay away from Michael's and spending more money there. :-)
Sweet cards for sure. I'd like to see us tea ladies exchange notecards somehow. Many of us make our own cards or can purchase inexpensive ones like you've shown.
What do you think, a nice idea?

  5. I must say you even find the best tea things at Michael's. Then when I go I never see them. Would love that rubber stamp and cupcake papers. Maybe I need to run over there right now.

  6. Fun things! One of my tea room customers gave me the little 'Tea is a cup of life' stamp just this past Sunday. So cute! And my sister sent me one of those glitzy rhinestone stickers, only it was a cupcake. I stuck it on the inside of my medicine cabinet in the tea room restroom where I have a variety of little cutesy things attached, you know, for that moment when you 'peek' inside.

  10. Sharon B., since you followed the instructions to a T, and it said to fill the muffin tins only halfway, I'm wondering if perhaps your muffin pans are larger than mine so "halfway" ended up being too much batter in the tins. My Dill Muffins were so flat (more the height of a small canned biscuit), there's not much way they could have remained uncooked. Is it possible that's the problem?

  11. My son is home sick today. I popped out to pick up ingredients for homemade chicken noodle soup. Conveniently, I chose the market across from Michael's and was able to pick up a few of the bling tea cups & tea pots.......

  12. Angela, You are so much fun. I understand your logic about getting items and not knowing what I will do with them. This makes perfect sense to me. Blessings

  15. Dear Angela,
We are giving some of those away. They went up on our blog a little over a week ago. The drawing is on Sunday.
Anyone who is interested, please come on over.
