My Tea-themed Tree, 2011 Edition

My little pink feather tree is holding just about all the tea pot/cup/kettle ornaments it can possibly hold, but I think this is a happy problem to have! (And let me just say up front it's kind of hard to take good photos indoors at night, but I did my best!)

My newest addition to the tree was this sweet poinsettia ornament that was a hostess gift from "the girls" on Saturday at tea, and my sister gave me the pretty pink Christmas cactus. I have faith that at least one of these items will still be with us next Christmas!

This floral teacup ornament was a recent gift from a tea-loving girlfriend and features a design I haven't seen on an ornament before. Lovely!

Earlier this year I wrote about my new tea friend Lani in Hawaii. This black lacquer ornament came from her and is such a unique addition to my tree!

And a tea friend clear across the country actually made this beautiful ornament herself. It is one of my all-time favorites because it was made just for me!

In fact, I pondered that several "Tea With Friends" friends are represented on this tree and table. I love that!

It's really become just a jumble of ornaments, but I don't care. I want them ALL on there!

I didn't just love this Hobby Lobby ornament when I first got it a while back, but it's grown on me for some reason.

I do, however, love my Wedgwood ornaments!

This Sandy Lynam Clough ornament is another favorite. This was a yard sale find from my mom.

And how can you have any collection of tea-themed ornaments without a nod to Mary Engelbreit? So yes, its cup runneth over, you might say, but I do so enjoy my little tea-themed Christmas tree!

  1. I love your tea themed tree. You have some really unique ornaments. I haven't put mine up yet. Your Mom has got to be the best personal shopper anyone has ever had. ;-)

  9. I just love visiting your tea tree for this year. And I love being there too. What sweet ornaments you have added this year. I am always amazed at how many different tea ornaments are out there. I don't shop much, but when I do I have been looking and haven't spotted one. Oh well, I just enjoy visiting yours.

  10. I love seeing your tea themed tree each year! The one your friend made for you is an inspiration. I'll need to try to make some for next Christmas. The only tea ornament I have is a teapot castle from Hallmark and it's so heavy that I don't trust our tree to hold it.

  14. After seeing your tea tree from last December, I decided to do the same thing this year. I don't have nearly so many tea ornaments, but I also used little fun shaped tea strainers- I have a duck, heart, strawberry, house and several differently shaped teapot strainers which I hung on a 2 foot artificial tree. The tree cheered me every day and I've gotten many comments. Thank you for the great idea- I hope you don't mind that I 'copied' it.

  15. PS tea ornaments WERE very hard to find this year. I did finally make it to a HomeGoods store and found the Portmeirin Holly and Ivy teapot ornament that I love! I'd like a real Holly and Ivy teapot, but will settle for the ornament for now.
