Even though I work in a newspaper office, I'm sorry to say I'm not always the first among my friends to read all that's in the paper. A few weeks ago, a friend told me she'd read in our pages that a new flower and tea shop was opening. It was the first I'd heard of it, but then another friend sent an e-mail telling me the site of the shop, located near the car wash and just before you get to Walgreen's as you're headed west on Bullsboro Drive.
After Christmas Eve services at church, DH and I were out riding around and he pulled into the parking lot of the new flower and tea shop so I could go press my nose against the window and see what was inside. I saw lots of Asian looking teawares and the bar area where I assumed tea would be served. Today, I finally had a moment to stop by, and I must say I was warmly greeted and left with a delicious Pomegranate Sweet Tea, which is a fruit tea from the shop. There are lots of pretty containers of Christmas cactus, bamboo (including some gorgeous woven bamboo), and some dish gardens and tall plants as well.
The shop sells by-the-cup herb tea, fruit and flower tea, green tea latte and coffee. Most of the teas seemed to be around $2.95 or $3.95 a cup, which is about what you'd pay at a Starbucks, and with much more variety for the tea lover. May they have a long and happy run here in Newnan!
I am so glad to see you wrote about this today. I enjoyed my visit too, and the owner is very sweet. I hope people find it and stop in.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to see a new tea business. I join you in hoping that their business prospers.
