Chai Flavored VerMints

You may have heard of "varmints" but have you heard of "VerMints," by any chance? I came across these Vermont-made VerMints in a market in Florida in December and had to try them. The tin says they are "flavored with Fair Trade tea from our friends at Honest Tea." I really like the light, refreshing taste of these little mints!

The inside of the tin tells you these Kashmiri Chai mints taste of cardamom, cinnamon, pepper and tea from India.

And there is absolutely no reason for this last photo except that I thought the close-up made these mints look like a pile of tiny frozen scones! After I paid nearly $5 for my VerMints, I began to see them for less than half that at a T.J. Maxx or two, so be on the lookout if you're a fan of tea-flavored treats!

  1. You are so right about the close up of these mints looking like scones! That is so funny.

  2. they are great!! also a nice gift for a sweet tooth tea drinker!!!

  3. I don't think that I've seen these VerMints, but I'll be on the lookout at Marshalls and Ross now.
I like to drink Indian Spiced tea, so I'm sure these mints would be to my taste.

Nice photos - wish I had a pile of real frozen scones to pop in the oven right now.

  4. Yummm!
Come by and visit, there is a give away today.

  5. Angela - I just came across your web site and spent all week reading every post! It is one of the best sites I've seen for tea lovers! Thank you so much, I'm really enjoying it!

  6. I've never seen these mints either. I'll keep a look out for them, they sound interesting.

  7. Hmmm I don't know about the colors of those. ha ha But these do remind me that I was in the store this week and I saw the scones in the tubes you previewed on your web a few months ago! I said OUTLOUD in the isle.... Angela told me about these! ha ha

Thanks so much for taking time to leave a comment! It makes my day to hear from readers!
