Recently I came across the loveliest new cookbook from Parragon in the UK, "The Ladies' Book of Baking: A Collection of Elegant Recipes." Behind its glittery cover there are many great teatime recipes, the photography is lovely, and even the graphics feature teapots. For that reason, I bought an extra copy for my July giveaway here on the blog!
Here's the intro to the chapter on The Afternoon Tea Party. You'll also find recipes for macarons, palmiers and madeleines as well as cookies, cakes and pies.
And here's a yummy sounding recipe for something they call Tea Rolls. If you'd like to win this book, just leave an "Enter me" to this post between now and 7 a.m. Friday, July 11, and you'll be entered. (US and Canada only, please.) Good luck!

Angela what a sweet giveaway...I love the artwork on the cover and please may I enter to win this book. in the past I have collected teabooks;however in retirement and on a fixed income I no longer feel justified in purchaseing them but winning one is a win/win situation I could handle.
ReplyDeleteRead your comments on Downton Abby characters and agree the former butler should go. Where do/have you found their teas as I would love to have at least one of the tins of tea from this series, n'est ce pas? It is a good thing. As for me I have to wait to view the series afte it is over as I borrow them from the library. I do have several books (gifts) of Downton Abby and read all the others from the library.
With a joyful heart,
Sylvia Faye
