Teatime fabrics for the future

Actually, I'm not really in a sewing/stitching/quilting mood at the moment, and I probably won't be again until fall or winter, but when I come across clearance fabrics with a tea theme, I've learned to go ahead and buy them. Unlike books, which you can usually locate forever, fabrics are printed and when they're gone, they're gone. These, I knew immediately, would be great for a baby quilt one day when I need a shower gift for one of my young friends. If they appeal to you too, you might want to go ahead and search for these fabrics NOW!

These fabrics are from the Tea Party line by David Walker for Free Spirit.

"Say when." "Merci." "Tea for two." I love the cute teatime sayings!

And I made sure to get a yard each of the matching pink and blue fabrics as well, since I don't yet know the sex of the unknown future recipient!

  3. That "Tea Party" fabric is really cute. I haven't been sewing much lately either, but I'd still add this fabric to my stash.

  4. Adorable, and you can never begin too early indoctrinating someone on the pleasures of tea. ;-)

  8. Imagine my surprise when I read this post and saw these fabrics. I have the pink and blue tone-on-tone prints as well as three others in this group that you don't have. You can see them and others on our Etsy site under "Hookedonquilting". I tend to almost always buy prints with teacups or that are tea themed. Just can't help myself.
