Some unique new teas from Palais des Thés

Are there any lavender lovers reading today? If you're like me, I can just read the word "lavender" and I'm instantly smelling the fragrance and seeing the pretty little lavender blossoms. That's why this new Pure Indulgence Lavender Tea from Palais des Thés especially appealed to me. It's a blend of oolong tea and lavender flowers, and the result is a rich, almost creamy tasting tea that I thoroughly enjoyed.

The company recently sent samples of two of their new Pure Indulgence teas, and of course I'm always happy to try just about any new tea. When I saw the label, it dawned on me that Lord willing, I may actually get to visit Palais des Thés in person when I'm in France next month! My husband wants to go to Normandy while we're there, but we'll have at least a bit of time in Paris, where I have learned there are quite a few Palais des Thés shops. (Is there something wrong with me that I'd rather buzz by a tea shop in Paris than the Eiffel Tower?)

At any rate, I sure am enjoying these new blends from Palais des Thés. This Pure Indulgence Cinnamon tea was a real taste treat as well. When I opened the packet, the scent reminded me of Harney's Hot Cinnamon Tea, yet the steeped tea was a very different taste. It was as if they had merged the best of a fine cinnamon tea with an earthy, smoky black tea. Only after I sipped it did I go read the press release they sent, and this is a blend of "Chinese Pu Erh with natural cinnamon essence." Amazing! The result was a very sophisticated cinnamon tea, one I would drink regularly instead of saving it for the fall as I do with most cinnamon teas. This new line includes other flavors as well, and you can learn more about these great new Palais des Thés teas by going here.

  1. I dearly love Lavender, so much so I named my antique shop Lavender and Old Lace. The scent of lavender sends my mind to places reminiscent of old times and pleasant new ones.
I have tried the oils in cookies but never in tea. Shall have to consider this.

  2. Mmmmmm. You make me want to try those teas! You are in the Atlanta area, yes? I am north of there by a few hours. Are there any tea rooms in particular you recommend or any shops that specialize in tea and tea ware? I am planning a trip to Jasper and then in a few weeks, through the Atlanta area and south.

  3. Oh, those both sound delicious. I do hope you get to visit one of their shops while in France. And for the previous commenter, as someone who is also a couple of hours north of ATL, I'd recommend Tea Leaves and Thyme in Woodstock,GA and/or the Roswell Teahouse (in Roswell GA) or in Chattanooga, TN, The English Rose.

  6. I think you can visit the Eiffel Tower and still enjoy a visit to the Palais des Thés. It is like visiting a perfumery with all the special blends to sniff. Now I am excited for you to be venturing to both England and France. You will fall in love. For sure go to tea in Paris too, as it is quite different than in London. I once went on a week tea tour to Paris and fell in love with Paris before visiting London.

  7. Pu Ehr is the one tea I haven't been interested in trying so far, but now you have me interested. My son and I love cinnamon, and we're both fans of PTD.

I hope you have a wonderful trip to France! Thank you so much for sharing here on your blog. It's one of the few I check every day M-Sat.
