Last year I ordered this pretty shamrock-covered china teapot from eBay, and the gracious seller surprised me by including this shamrock teacup as well.
Isn't it lovely? The Lefton teacup has such a cheery pattern and pretty shape.
In fact, this seller included quite a few extra goodies in my package, including the runner and shamrock ornament shown here. At first I wasn't sure I had enough green things to compose a small St. Patrick's Day vignette on my tea trolley, but now I think I do, by golly!
The card at left was a surprise from a reader who recently won one of my giveaways. Perfect!
And the African violet I've been nursing along for two years has finally decided to bloom again, with little buds peeking out at right. Do you decorate for St. Patrick's Day? Maybe it's the Irish in me, but I must say I'm getting into the spirit this year!
Your St. Paddy's tea vignette is lovely. How kind of the vendor to include the teacup and other goodies, they must have known the items were going to a good home.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I decorate as I have Glenn's grandmother's shamrock teacups that she brought with her from Ireland.
Simply beautiful! Love all the shamrocks!
ReplyDeleteYour tea cart looks so beautiful! I am planning to decorate my china hutch--just found a Lefton shamrock mug at the thrift store and bought myself a shamrock plant the other day. Would love to have a shamrock teapot someday--will just have to throw in some spring flower teapots and cups with the display this year.
ReplyDeleteJust lovely! Somewhere, I have depression glass green shamrock cup and saucer. I will have to find it. It is so sweet. I will make that a goal this week. I love "having tea" with you.
ReplyDeleteLove your shamrocks! Perfect vignette!

The Luck of the Irish! Your generosity was returned to you. You have inspired me to get out my Belleek tea set.
ReplyDeleteLove your green spirit. I usually completely overlook shamrock day, but I am trying to think green as the green growth of Spring is beginning to shine here. Love also your shamrock cup and teapot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely vignette! I made a couple mini runners and have a few things around the house. I love to decorate for St Pat's! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely St. Patrick's Day vignette. My maternal grandfather was from Ireland, but I don't decorate for St. Paddy's Day.
ReplyDeleteDear Angela,
ReplyDeleteI think you had the luck of the Irish! Love your tea!
:) Ruthie
Your tea vignette is beautiful for St. Patrick's Day! What a lovely seller you found on eBay to pass along some extra goodies.
ReplyDeleteYou have so many lovely tea items. You and your blog are always an inspiration. Blessings
ReplyDeleteYour tea trolly looks great. We don't usually decorate for St Patricks day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vignette, Angela! How nice to receive all the extra goodies with your lovely order. Even though my hubby is half Irish, and proud of it, and I'm a smidgeon Irish, we don't really celebrate the way a lot of folks do. I usually make an Irish soda bread and once in a while a corned beef and cabbage but that's it. I'm ashamed to say that I don't own any shamrock tea things. I never see any pieces around here. If I happened to stumble upon it, I would no doubt indulge in some. Until then I will be happy with my roses. When St Patrick's Day rolls around I do bring out my green china however. Thanks for your visit today and your nice comment.
ReplyDeleteGreat display Angela! You have such an artistic eye, I love 'all things Irish,' too.
ReplyDeleteTop of the morning to you and Alex, Joanie
What a lovely St. Patrick's Day tea vignette, Angela.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know your kindness came back to you. That's how it is supposed to work.
Have a lovely St. Pat's! ♣
Hugs and good cheer to you!
