When I got a marketing email from Harney & Sons a few weeks ago, one of the new tea tins pictured immediately caught my eye, and for an obvious and quite colorful reason. So I knew I wanted the tin no matter what type of tea it contained, but then it struck me that "Royal Palace Tea" would make a terrific tea to have in honor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding on May 19.
Naturally, a tea tasting was in order for this "black tea with lemon and grapefruit," and I wasn't surprised at all that I loved it. It's a brisk-tasting tea with those citrusy notes I adore, and while I've only had it hot, I'm sure it would be delicious iced as well.
But those graphics make this tin a real keeper and one I'll proudly have on my tea table (or tea trolley; I haven't decided yet) come May 19! You can find this tea for yourself by clicking here. Plus, you can save 20 percent sitewide right now AND get free shipping on any size order. (No connection to Harney other than being a longtime happy customer who likes to see my friends get a deal!)
I agree, that tea tin is beautiful! And how perfect it looks with your lovely teacup. I love Harney and Sons teas anyway, and this one sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteThe 20% off ended yesterday, but at least I got free shipping! I love that tin and I got a 3 oz. package of the Royal Wedding Tea too.

I gave that beautiful Royal Wedding Tea tin to a friend last year, and she loved both the tea and the tin. I'm very tempted to get one for myself now!

I purchased a tin of this for myself awhile ago, but haven't tried it yet. You've inspired me to give it a go! I love the teacup and saucer in the photo, also - seems like a perfect match!
ReplyDeleteThis does sound delicious! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed a pretty tin. Enjoy on the 19th.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great combination with your tea cup. They are perfect together. What is the cup and saucer?
ReplyDeleteHi, Donna! Just catching up on blog comments and wanted you to know that the teacup came from Windsor Castle (so this was my souvenir from England), and it's from the Royal Collection Trust, a brand they had in one of the castle gift shops but which I believe may still be available online. The pattern is said to have come from a Minton dessert stand purchased by Queen Victoria at The Great Exhibition in 1851. But the teacup on Harney's website seems to match the tin exactly, although mine is pretty close!
DeleteGlad to hear this is a tasty tea. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Angela, thank you for sharing the Royal Wedding Tea! I am still checking TJM for the mug. BTW, Happy Birthday!! Hope it was grand!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Angela. That teacup and tin are the perfect pair. My son and daughter-in-law visited London and Scotland last year and brought me that very same tea tin. I love the tea. They even had tea and scones in Beatrix Potter's cottage.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty - both the tea cup and the tin! We will be serving Windsor Castle tea at our May 19th royal wedding celebration. Such excitement is in the air!
