Last week was my busiest work week of the year. I didn't stop for a lunch hour, and several days I didn't stop for a dinner hour. My colleague and I proofed and printed and finally got through with our magazine's annual newcomers' guide ... and we even finished a bit early so we could both attend family events that were important to us! So, can you imagine how delighted I was to return home that last evening after work and find a gift from Oregon Chai, which says it's on a mission to help people find a little "Me Time"? I am all about "me time" right now! I have to confess I had my fingers crossed as I tried this powdered chai tea latte mix, because powdered anything is often a gamble when it comes to taste. I am delighted to be able to tell you I love it! It had a very rich, thick and creamy taste, and it's every bit as good as any chai I've ordered in a coffee or tea shop. And while I liked it fine right now, I cannot wait to drink this during cooler weather!
My sample arrived with some great accessories, including the pretty, oversized tea mug shown in the top photo. But there was also a cool double-walled acrylic iced tea glass that I have really enjoyed using over the past few days. (I don't like to drink my chai cold, so I've got iced green tea in my glass.) This looks just like those clear plastic cups you get at Starbucks or other coffee and tea joints, but it's really reusable acrylic. Even the straw is reusable!
See? Doesn't this look just like those throwaway cups? And yet it's not. Clever!
Now much as I love getting a free sample from a tea company, there's something I love even more: When that tea company offers a giveaway for one of my blog readers! And in this case, there is a giveaway for two lucky winners! You can win one of two gifts: 1) A 10-ounce canister of the powdered chai and the yellow-gold logo mug OR 2) A 10-ounce canister of the powdered chai and the acrylic iced tea cup. Please let me know if you'd like to enter only the chai-and-mug giveaway, only the chai-and-iced-tea-cup giveaway, or if you're OK with winning either one, and I'll let the random number generator select the winners. Just comment between now and 7 a.m. EST tomorrow. Good luck!
I'd love either one, thanks! BTW the newcomers guide is indispensable for those new to our area. I also keep one in my guest room for those who are visiting. You and your staff do a great job!
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm game for either one. I am glad you're getting some down time. It always seems so much better after you've worked really hard, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteHi Angela
ReplyDeleteI would love the chai and acrylic glass. I love chai tea.
I found some tea bags that "hook" on the cup, they are open at the top and you pour the water over the leaves. I'll get the name later. It looked so intriguing...haven't tried the tea yet.
Thanks for a great blog.
Teacup giveaway for me please! Aren't those Oregan Chai folks just angels!

Congrats on finishing your big project, Angela.
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy chi more when the weather is cooler. My nieces and nephews really like it too. I have also used it to make an Apple Chi Pie which had a wonderful spicy flavor. Please enter my name for both of your great giveaways.
Thanks, Angela, for sharing with your readers.
Enyoy your "Me Time"!
Congrats on finishing your project! I'd love to "win" the iced tea glass :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm in for either one! I agree with you--chai tea latte is a great winter drink. I love reading your blog each day--you always have something interesting to read. Judy
ReplyDeleteAngela, what a wonderful feeling to finish a project. Getting it done early is a bonus thrill!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win either one, thanks to you and Oregon Chai for the opportunity.

ReplyDeletejacksoncrisman@yahoo.com
I'd love to win either of them. How fun!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is such a delight to read while sipping my morning tea. I really enjoy your "calorie free" tea tidbits. America's small towns need people like you to keep them strong. Your giveaways are the greatest and I would be happy to sample some chai in either cup. Thank You!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win either one. How nice. I have a book about their company and I started reading it at my usual time before bedtime. I couldn't sleep with all it got me thinking about and had to set it aside. Now I need to find a time in the morning to read it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post, Angela! And Congratulations on getting the Newcomer's Guide completed - we enjoy this publication and share it with visitors too.
ReplyDeleteI'm 'in' for your contest - either product would be lovely to win and it's great of you to share!
Hope you have some good 'me time,' you deserve it, Joanie

ReplyDeleteThanks for another opportunity to win something cool---please enter me for the iced tea cup-- and the chai of course. I've never tried Chai. My coffee drinking boss highly recommends it.
ReplyDeleteAngela, thank you for stopping by my blog to say hi, and I'm so glad to have found yours. I've enjoyed browsing through your posts, reading even more about tea, one of my favorite things:) You have a lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteP.S. The acrylic iced tea cup would be just dandy!
I love both of them and would be happy with whichever one I won. I wanted to tell you I ordered some of the soaps you showed quite a while ago on your blog for my stitching friends (we always have tea together when we stitch) and have given them as part of their birthday gifts. All have been so pleased. I appreciate your sharing how to find some of the items you show on your site. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat giveaway. I would be pleasantly surprised with either one. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat's awfully nice of the Oregon Chai company to have a give-away on your blogsite. Please sign me up for a chance to win the over-sized tea mug. I love that logo of theirs with that bright yellow background. The tea and the bright color of that mug should definitely wake me up on one of these cool, foggy mornings we've been having in coastal San Diego, should I be lucky enuff to win!
ReplyDeleteI would enjoy either one.
ReplyDeleteChai is my favorite.
