A magazine giveaway

Do you know the old song "You Were Always On My Mind" by Willie Nelson? Well, to prove you are always on *my* mind, I wanted you to know I was thinking of you while attending an annual magazine conference in Atlanta yesterday! Each year the tables are practically buckling under the weight of all the free magazines available to attendees. Since I already subscribe to quite a few Hoffman Media titles myself, I decided I would give these seven freebie magazines to one of you! Although Tea Time wasn't included (and many of us already get it anyway), I was happy to see the new Victoria has a great article on "The Art of Afternoon Tea." I haven't even had time to look through all the other titles myself, but I have a feeling they will be of interest as well. The titles include Victoria, the Deen Bros. Good Cooking, Taste of the South, Southern Lady, Sandra Lee Semi-Homemade, Phyllis Hoffman Celebrate and Cooking with Paula Deen.

This giveaway will run until 7 a.m. EST Monday morning, May 3. To enter, just answer this question: What is your favorite magazine (or magazines)? And good luck!

  1. Hello Angela! My favorite magazines are those published by Stampington & company. In particular I like _Somerset Studio_ and _Somerset Life_.

  2. How do we become so attached to something like a magazine? Last fall while doing some cleaning, I decided to get rid of a box containing the first 10 years of Victoria. It was a real struggle! Rather than sending them to an untimely (recycled) death, I sent them to Goodwill in the hopes that someone else would reap the joy they had brought me. Favorites? Southern Living, Tea (A Mag), Southern Lady, Victoria . . . the list goes on! B-)

  3. What a great giveaway for a magazine lover like me. And what a tough question to answer. It is hard to pick from the many I read, but I'll say Tea Time, Coastal Living and Traditional Home.

  4. Oh my, what a difficult question! I love magazines!!! Currently, Tea Time is my favorite magazine because of the photos of afternoon tea and tablescapes. I use it for inspiration when planning teas. Southern Living is the one I have subscribed to for the longest time, in the tradition of my mom and Aunt Mary.

  5. Reading magazines is one of my favorite things to do. I love The English Garden and also read Tea Time and Desserts Magazine. Romantic Homes is another favorite.

(To BB, if you have not sent off those Victoria Magazines, I would love to have them. I am doing a project with the old Victoria Magazines.)

  6. Southern Living and Tea Time are my favorites. Picked up one called "Mixing Bowl .Com " and it had great recipes in it but I haven't seen it since.
I save them for about 2 years then clip "keeper" articles and recycle.
I have files for decorating, travel, party ideas I put the clippings in.

  13. Angela-- Thanks for the opportunity. I can say I don't have a favorite. I love many.
By the way, just this morning before work, I stopped at the grocery store and noticed that this month's issue of "Herb Companion" featured how to set up a tea garden. (I am 90% sure it was Herb Companion.) I thought you might be interested.

  15. I love that song! I pretty faithfully read Cooks Country by Cooks Illustrated and WORLD. As a displaced Oregonian, I also like Sunset for its pictures of some of the most beautiful countryside in the world, but I don't subscribe.
