The Ryl Co. Teas from Aldi

I almost don't trust myself to buy ready-to-drink teas any more, as I tend to impulsively purchase those that turn out to be sugary ones and then regret it. But this time, friend Susan B. recommended an RTD tea she found at Aldi, a tea with zero calories and sugar, so I was interested!

I decided to try the watermelon and peach flavors, and I was delighted to find that the first ingredient is actually tea! These are sweetened with stevia leaf extract.

The peach tea had a refreshingly light peach taste, the watermelon tea did indeed taste like watermelon, and I would definitely buy these $1.89 teas again as an occasional treat. Have any of you tried them? Or other flavors of Ryl Co. tea?

  1. I haven’t tried them yet but since there’s a Aldi nearby, I will certainly give them a try!

  2. Looking at the labels for those teas, I see that in addition to using stevia leaf extract, they also use monk fruit extract as a sweetener. I don't think I've had anything else sweetened with monk fruit, so I don't know if it has a noticeable taste. For some things, I've noticed that stevia is too sweet for me, but in other items (such as in Simply Light Lemonade), it works just fine.

  3. I rarely look at the canned drinks at Aldi even though I shop there weekly. I'm making a note to look for these on my next trip. They would be handy for travel. Thanks for sharing.
