Friends are so generous in sharing tea-themed gifts with me, I often wonder why on earth I am so blessed. And sometimes, a gift comes from a thoroughly unexpected source. Last week, a former coworker I haven't worked with in years texted me to say she had "a little something" for me, and she could either drop it off with one of my clients or I could stop by her office. I was going to be near her office that very week, so I told her I'd stop by. I couldn't imagine what the "little something" might be, even when she handed over a pretty black-and-white bag tied with sheer white ribbon. Inside was one of the loveliest, most elaborate teapot ornaments I have ever seen!
The beaded metal butterflies are absolutely adorable.
And I was tempted to pop the dangling teacups off to wear as earrings!
I haven't yet decided whether I want to hang this on a window or on a cabinet or where, exactly, so that I can most enjoy it, so for now, it's at home on a teacup stand! Have you ever seen a metal-crafted teapot like this? I haven't, and I sure thought I'd seen it all when it comes to teatime ornaments!
I have never seen one like that, and it's darling! What a lovely "unexpected", as a friend calls these nice surprises.
ReplyDeleteA very cute surprise! I have never seen this ornament before, but will start looking. Looks perfect on your tea stand!
ReplyDeleteIf I ever see one like that, I shall snatch it up as fast as I can.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely an amazing tea pot ornament! The artist certainly was very creative. I especially like the dragonfly on it.

That is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat is so unique. I love it. What a great friend. Yes I would also consider wearing the teacups as earrings.
