I finally ended up going to the doctor, who told me I did have an ear infection but, otherwise, just a bad cold that had to run its course. So naturally I’ve been sipping lots of hot tea. One morning, I decided to use my lovely pink Adagio strainer mug to prepare some loose tea. But alas, once my electric kettle had the water boiling, I poured the water into the vessel on the right, not the vessel on the left. Eek! I actually stood there for a moment wondering why my cup was leaking when I realized what I’d done. Hope your week has gone better than that. Have a great weekend and stay well, friends! 😊
Get well soon!!! I love hot tea with honey and orange juice when I am sick. And yes, I do mix a little OJ into my black tea with honey and I find it delicious and so satisfying when I have a cold!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Lynn! I'll be trying that OJ shortly ...
DeleteOh, goodness, we've all done that or something similar. Blame it on the cold meds! I hope your cold responds to all the treatments and goes away quickly. I need to remember the hot tea with OJ mixed in for the next time I have a cold. (If you add a little medicinal whiskey to hot tea and honey, it really soothes the sore throat. I have only tried it once, about 38 years ago, but I still remember how good it felt!)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joy!
DeleteOh dear! Feel better soon, Angela!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Frances!
DeleteOh dear - I hate when that happens! Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better. I’ve poured water into a cup only to discover a crack and it did indeed leak everywhere.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better now. One thing I learn a couple years ago is if your cold settles in your chest and won't go away take Olive Leaf from the natural food store for three days (about 3 tablets a day)and by the end of the third day you should start feeling better. It has worked like a charm every time since then.
ReplyDeleteI will be looking for this! Thanks for the tip, Marilyn!
