Vintage Easter greetings from a tea farm

If you're like me you're plenty busy as this Easter weekend nears, so I thought for today I'd keep it short and sweet and share this undated vintage postcard from the Pinehurst Tea Farm in Summerville, S.C., probably from the late 1800s or early 1900s. If I'm reading it correctly, the back of the postcard (which is shown below) says this: "Our dear little girl, At this glad Easter time let us send you this card with flowers as emblems of the sweetness, love and purity of your life. Eva M. Shultz (?)." I've come across several tidbits about the history of Pinehurst and tea production in the U.S. lately, so if you'll come back next week I'll share more of what I've learned. Meanwhile, I wish you all a "glad Easter time" as well!

  11. would you be interested in selling any of the post cards and photos from the Pinehurst Tea Plantation? My husband and I just bought Dr. Shepard's home, and it would be a treat to have these!
