Today's blog post is something of a pop quiz with a pop-up giveaway attached. For those of you who've been reading this blog for more than a year, this should be easy peasy! Okay, here is a tin of Pumpkin Spice Tea from Harney & Sons, right?
Wrong. It's actually an empty tin of Pumpkin Spice Tea. But why do I save my tea tins, especially at this time of year? It's something I've mentioned several times before. If you remember, leave your answer below, and tomorrow I'll select a winner from all (or any) correct entries. The gift will be a nice teatime surprise, something I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy having!
Hi Angela,
ReplyDeleteI believe you use your tins for storing your Christmas tea ornaments. Almost time to unpack them! Such a great way to recycle.
Mary Jane
For storing small Christmas "tea" ornaments - great idea that I've borrowed. Margie in CA
ReplyDeleteI love that you recycle them for storing your Christmas tea ornaments - I use mine in my sewing room for odds and ends!
ReplyDeleteDitto what Mary Jane & Margie said! I enjoy seeing your tea ornament tree each year.
ReplyDeleteI reuse my tins for storing loose teas, infusers, and strainers.
Christmas tea ornaments ! I have been hunting some this year!
ReplyDeleteI store "Christmas Tea ornaments" in mine too! Or just pile a few together in a corner of my kitchen for decoration! Thanks for the "pop up quiz". Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteYou keep your tea-themed Christmas ornaments in them, which I think is a wonderful idea.
ReplyDeleteI was under the impression that you were going to try making a candle in an empty tea tin?

Reusing for storage...I do the same thing! Especially small tea ornaments.

Tea ornament storage. :-) I save mine for buttons and sewing items. LOL Thanks for the fun!
ReplyDeleteLove tins and you use your tins for ornament storage (me too!) I enjoy seeing how the artwork changes, over the years.
ReplyDeleteFrom my "Missouri years," I have some interesting tins, ranging from type writer ribbon tins, wine bottle tins and tiny "miniature" cigars (limited edition tins) that are a perfect size for desk supplies. For me, each tin tells a story and brings back so many memories, just like your knick-knack story. Have a great day, Joanie
OK I'm in the "pot" - you use them for storage, especially tea themed Christmas ornaments - thank you for throwing me in the drawing!
DeleteI think I've read that you use them to store Christmas "tea" ornaments. I love my Harney tins and store all kinds of things in them...electronic chords, cupcake liners, etc. Thanks for the giveaway! dmskrug3(at)hotmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI remember you included the 'fall' color tins on your tea trolley for added autumnal decor ...
ReplyDeleteHI Angela. Yes I do remember the pretty tea trolley for fall with tea tins too - but I love your idea about storing delicate tea ornaments inside. I just wish all tea tins today were tin - some are only cardboard - so disappointing! Please include me in the giveaway. Sounds fun. Thanks.
DeleteOK, I am a silly wills and just think you stash all your hoarded candy so no one will ever find it. : - )
ReplyDeleteI think you use them to store Christmas ornaments
