This vintage Valentine is one I'm sending to my own mother this week since I think she'll appreciate the image! I love that the bear in this Valentine is wearing an apron.
Aprons have certainly become fashionable in the past few years, haven't they? I spotted this bright green apron at Michaels recently and decided it would make a great giveaway item!
The design features cute teapots and would be perfect for the tea lover at work in the kitchen. Or if you're not an apron lover, use the fabric to make something else! If you want to win it, just leave a comment by 7 a.m. EST tomorrow and/or answer this question: Do you wear an apron when you're cooking? (Giveaway open to U.S. residents only, please. And yes, you can win more than once this week, so feel free to enter every day!) Good luck!
Yes, on occasion I do wear aprons. I was lucky to have been given several vintage aprons from my husbands Aunt who had given up her home in the 80's. She was a garage sale regular and had tons of neat stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love aprons and this one is adorable! Your Valentine's Giveaway Week is fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love and wear aprons. My favorite is a pink & green chintz pattern one from Hawaii that I love.
ReplyDeleteMy mother used to make the half aprons in the 60s for church fairs - wish I had some of those now.
No, I don't wear an apron when I'm in the kitchen, but there are days when I certainly should! However, we are having a special event in the tea room in May that features aprons as the main theme - their influence in our past, the ties that connect us to our history. I remember my first sewing project was an apron. Wish I still had it!

I absolutely must have this apron! I hope you purchased it recently so if I don't win it, I can go buy one. I have many vintage aprons but I am overweight and many aprons of yesteryear are smaller than aprons of today. I have lost weight so I can now wear them but they will look much better when I lose more (how's that for optimism?). I usually wear one at Christmas time and decorate with them otherwise. I am having a girlfriend's grandchild over this weekend to make a birthday cake. I am sure we will both wear one then.
ReplyDeleteAm I too late? I hope not. Love the apron and I should always wear one when I'm in the kitchen ... I make such a mess .. usually on myself!
ReplyDeleteI too wear aprons. My mother taught me how to sew by making aprons. I think back on all the "vintage" material I used, which was currant at the time, I wish I would have kept at least one of them! I would love to win this beautiful tea apron. Thank you for offering it!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear aprons in the kitchen, but I keep telling myself I need to make some to use in the garden/yard when picking produce & pecans.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute apron, Angela. I always wear aprons when I am cooking and have one to wear for the different holidays of the year. One of my favorites has hearts and flowers for Valentine's Day. I also have some vintage ones that my Mom wore and I don't think I ever saw my Grandmothers without one. They always wore the kind that wrapped all the way around the back and covered their dress. Another favorite apron is my gardening apron with lots of pockets.
ReplyDeleteAngela, I wear an apron all the time when I bake and have special ones hanging in the kitchen. I agree with Gerri , I will be on the lookout at Michael's.Christine-MA
ReplyDeleteI do not always wear an apron at home but I do wear them when I serve tea at tea parties. This apron is just so cute! Thanks for sharing your cute Valentines!

I wear aprons all the time at my volunteer job at a food bank, most of the time when I have company - at least while I'm cooking or serving & some just every day. I don't have many full aprons & would love one with teapots on it!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Love that Valentine card, Angela!
ReplyDeleteI love aprons and have collected quite a few, over the years.
Some aprons are just for display -
wouldn't want to get them messed up. Have a great day, Joanie
I love to wear an apron during Christmas baking --
ReplyDeleteI have several aprons and when I think about it, I do wear one. I have three chef's aprons and they are all gifts to me from dear friends!
ReplyDeleteI do NOT wear an apron when cooking, but I love this one!!
ReplyDeleteI don't wear aprons when I cook, but I know just the job for this one. My 11 year old granddaughter and I have been making "Snow Day Scones" whenever we are out of school. In Tennessee, we have been like many of you this year with more snow than normal. For us, that means no school. I think my granddaughter would enjoy wearing this cute apron when we bake our scones. B-)
ReplyDeleteI wear an apron when canning or doing other messy tasks. This is a very cute apron!
ReplyDeleteI wear aprons when I cook with my toddler so she'll wear hers. It's more the fun of making a quotidian experience special with the details.
ReplyDeleteLovely apron! I do wear an apron while cooking...and so does my daughter.
