I have many of her beautiful and inspiring books, and most of them dedicate at least one or two pages to various themes relating to tea. Her website is delightful as well. (Always!)
I was in my local mall this past weekend and ran into the Williams-Sonoma store real quick to see if they had the scone pan you mentioned. (I had agreed with what you said about liking scones, but not wanting the trouble of having to make cut-outs in dough.) I was happy to find they had the pan, and snapped it up quickly. But when I got home, I noticed the recipe for scones that came with the pan said to roll out the dough and use cutters to make scones! It sounded like you skipped that step--am I right? Can I just pour the batter, as is--right into the 16 mini scone cups? Or do I have to roll out the dough and cut triangles and then place them in?
Oh, the complexities of life! :)Carolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-11554339924758009432008-11-17T18:21:00.000-05:002008-11-17T18:21:00.000-05:00Hi Carol, and I'm quite happy to answer the qu...Hi Carol, and I'm quite happy to answer the question when I know the answer! You are correct: I totally skip the cutting-out-the-scones step and simply scoop the dough into more or less equal portions right in the 16 sections of the pan. Oh, and I do spray it with cooking spray first, which makes them come out cleanly. You will LOVE your new pan!Angela McRaehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13273293189684752811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-44290213758094029252008-11-18T12:52:00.000-05:002008-11-18T12:52:00.000-05:00Angela,thanks so much for answering my question ab...Angela,thanks so much for answering my question about the scones.
