While we were trying to conceive I read a few too many studies that made me quit using it. Since having my son I haven't purchased agave nectar again, mostly because I've cut out most sweeteners in my tea and oatmeal.Gingerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16363927407017174685noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-70469226141469664012010-06-03T18:04:19.230-04:002010-06-03T18:04:19.230-04:00I have used a lot of alternative sweateners, and a...I have used a lot of alternative sweateners, and agave is not my favorite. It has a bit of a "wang" to it that I don't care for, but I know a lot of people who love it. To me the flavor comes out even more in baking. I know many people who simply love it, however, and several who greatly prefer the blue agave to the regular.Ameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16951996391866856602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-82068876586517286012010-06-03T15:15:34.261-04:002010-06-03T15:15:34.261-04:00OK, I could get REALLY excited about these! Agave is a great sweetener for those non-white-sugar and/or vegan folks!Stephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05753205572837649406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-3540195110416576732010-06-03T11:49:19.650-04:002010-06-03T11:49:19.650-04:00I've been wanting to try agave nectar. I'll have to look for some - thanks for the review.parTea ladyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17106196613047314184noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-24560468376694471012010-06-03T11:43:58.339-04:002010-06-03T11:43:58.339-04:00Hi Angela,

Better than carrying a bottle of agave nectar around in your handbag... people would think that's weird :o)

I use agave nectar for several of my teas, I get mine from Trader Joe's. It's a very mild sweetener, so I like to use it in rooibos teas and green teas, which don't need very much sweetening. For my black teas, I stick to real sugar.

I'm glad to see other folks finding out about other natural ways to sweeten their teas other than those dreaded pink & blue packets. Chemicals are bad.

oxo~LisaLisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02761111232910207341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2167015610970367792.post-61572734628425767402010-06-03T10:59:12.810-04:002010-06-03T10:59:12.810-04:00I haven't tried them since I don't use swe...I haven't tried them since I don't use sweeteners, but have thought about using the agave to sweeten other things.Marilyn Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13115440271615593122noreply@blogger.com
