A Barnes & Noble shopping alert

Some tea mugs are worth making a new spot on the shelf for, like this one I found at Barnes & Noble last week. It quotes the always-brilliant Jane Austen: "I would rather have nothing but tea." The tea bag–looking graphic is what caught my eye initially, but …

Then I saw all those little teacups and saucers and was completely smitten! The mug is $14.95, and I had gotten a 15 percent off coupon by email and considered it providential timing, so I saved a few pennies on my purchase. (And I also tend to look for a digital coupon anytime I know I will be shopping there.)

But the real reason I'm writing about Barnes & Noble today is to let you know, if you didn't already, that the Royal Wedding Tea from Harney & Sons is back at B&N. The tea was good, as I recall, but I mainly just wanted a commemorative tin, which I have kept and enjoy decorating with on occasion. I believe it is now priced at only $5 at B&N with the purchase of any other tin of tea. So if you missed it on the occasion of William and Kate's wedding, please do not miss out with Harry and Meghan's!

  1. Cute mug! And although I'm supposed to leave off caffeine right now, I'd buy a tin of the Royal Wedding tea just for the tin, although I'd love to try the tea, too. If I happen to be near a B&N anytime soon, I'll look for it. Happy sipping!

  2. Thanks, Ange - def need to stop at the book store - funny we were going to last night but decided against it. Now must make that trip. We have a huge one at nice mall just down the road about 20 minutes. We spend hours there when we go - to me it's the perfect date!

  3. Love your adventure to Barnes and Noble. I was just there an hour ago, but wasn't looking for tea things. Oh my, now I must go back.

  4. This is my very favorite of the H&S teas! I also still have my commemorative tin--it's where I store the buttons that my little granddaughters like to play with. While we're having tea, of course!! :)

  5. Yes, I also admit to having bought some teas from Harney & sons just for the nice
tins! But the tea has always been good, too.
