A new teacup scarf!

So I walked into Sunday School last week and my teacher, Fran, plopped a little turquoise gift bag in front of me. "This is just a little something I saw the other day that made me think of you," she said. I immediately said thank you and wondered, "What on earth …?"

Then I reached into the bag, felt fabric, and realized it was a scarf, and my goodness, how perfect is this! I guess my love for all things tea is not exactly a secret, is it?

Fran mentioned that she had been shopping the outlets while down in Florida, and sure enough, the tag on my new scarf says "Talbots Outlet." I'm so delighted to have this new scarf, and I can't wait till it gets below 90 here so I can wear it!

  2. I love that scarf! Phyllis B blogged about it (and the matching socks) a while back, and I fell in love but couldn't find it at Talbot's online, and I am NOT close to a Talbots store. However, a few months later a friend said she was going to the Talbot's Outlet store, did I want anything? I sent her a picture of the scarf, and lo and behold she found it - on sale! I wore it a couple of times in the spring and am looking forward to wearing it again soon, if the weather will cool off. Enjoy yours, I'm glad your friend brought it to you.

    1. You know, I Googled "Talbots" and "teacups" the other day to see if there were any matching pieces, and lo and behold, it led me to your blog post from earlier this year. THIS is why I MUST get caught up on my blog reading -- how could I have missed this? (Now I'm looking for the socks you showed!) But I WILL get caught up on all the Michigan Tea Trip blog posts I see have begun ... I can at least enjoy it vicariously! :)

  9. Perfect scarf for you! I too called my local Talbots to find the scarf. They had at least a half dozen on clearance. I bought four scarves for an up coming tea party! As always, thanks for the tea tip!!

  10. I recently picked this scarf up, too. Like you, I have to wait for the weather to cool down. It has been 100° here in Dallas TX the past two dsys. I'm ready for fall.
