A lovely thank-you from the Senoia tea party!

It's amazing to me that I got invited to attend a wonderful afternoon tea in Senoia, and then, simply because I served as a judge for their hat contest, I went home with a gift for doing so! But that's how eternally kind and generous those folks in Senoia are, so my friend Nancy Roy of the Carriage House in Senoia sent me home with a lovely gift bag of treats following the historical society's Tea On The Porch on Saturday. First, I learned that "lilas de jardin" means "lilac garden" in French after receiving this charming tea towel and notecards.

Next, there was a jar of Raspberry Jalapeno jam, and it is just delicious! As I suspected, it's heavy on the raspberry and light on the jalapeno, which is quite a fine combination. I enjoyed it on toast and may have to try this on scones next.

Finally, I received a most welcome addition to my collection of tea jewelry! I've seen this style of pin before but never actually owned one, and I'm so happy to have a new piece of teatime jewelry, especially one that will remind me of a lovely afternoon of tea on the porch in Senoia.

  5. Oh how wonderful. It's such a generous and kind way of saying they understand your time and efforts and needed and appreciated. I love every single thing you brought home, too - that's an interesting jam, what a neat combo - not sure how I feel about the heat and sweet, but I'd be willing to try it.

Be right over..........if only in my dreams.

Sorry life has kept me away - buried a dear friend this week, and had jury duty, then my niece has been visiting - so busy there's little time for computers. I will catch up. I miss being here each day. ♥ Hugs.

  15. Such lovely gifts. I never thought to combine jalapeno with fruit, but it sounds good. I love hot stuff. I may have to try this if we get a lot of wild blackberries this year.
