A teacup planter from Hobby Lobby

Who doesn't want a few flowers to brighten up the dull winter days? I sure do, and when I saw this planter at Hobby Lobby last week I knew it had to come home with me with a new violet in it. It's regularly $29.99 but happily the ceramics were all half off. Nice!

When I first saw this on a shelf at the store, I had to peer inside to make sure it wasn't really a stack of loose teacups. But nope, it's all one piece! (The dirt is from the violet and did not come with the planter. You'll have to provide your own dirt.)

I also liked the crackle finish on this piece, and when I showed the planter to my husband, he actually nodded and said, "That's our palette." Yes, yes it is! And it also looks like the real-life version of the image on those teacup dish towels I showed yesterday. Double fun!

  3. That's really cute - and the right colors for you, and 1/2 price - perfect!

  4. I think I love gardening at least as much as I love tea. This is so perfect for your violet.

I have lots of blooming flowers right now too - violets, amaryllis & primroses. I don't mind the winter days at all when I have green things & blooms all through my house. I have a violet I've been growing that needs a container. I may need to check out Hobby Lobby as well!
