Soho is so good

A new Harney & Sons tea I've been enjoying is this Soho blend featuring notes of chocolate, coconut and vanilla.

When I opened the tin, I was instantly smitten with the appearance of these pretty amaranth petals!

The first time I tried the tea, it was too bitter so I tried it again, steeping for a shorter amount of time. That was still too strong, if not quite as bitter, so next I tried steeping a smaller quantity of tea, just about 3/4 teaspoon, for just about 2 minutes or so. This time it was just right and I got the creamy, dessert-like taste I was seeking. It was a nice reminder not to give up on a tea but rather to experiment until, like Goldilocks, you get it jussssst right!
