Just in the (St.) Nick of time ... Candy Cane Lane

'Twas the Friday before Christmas, and all through the house ... there was no Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea, because I hadn't seen any this season. At all. Anywhere. And I'd looked. I could order it online, but the shipping cost as much as the tea and I just didn't want it *that* badly. And then, in a surprise find on the very eve of Christmas Eve, I nabbed the very last box at a Whole Foods store in Atlanta! This super minty green tea has quite a following and can be hard to find, as I learned the past two years.

My pink glass teacup and saucer with the elegant scalloped details was a surprise gift from Darlene of The Tea Enthusiast's Scrapbook in honor of the publication of my book last month! What a lovely and thoughtful gift—and one I have used to sip away at that box of Candy Cane Lane tea.

My friend Deberah gave me a box of old-fashioned stick peppermint for Christmas, and I made a cup of the Candy Cane Lane tea extra peppermint-y with the addition of a stick. Are you a fan of Candy Cane Lane tea? If so, did you find any this year, and where? I'd love to know!

  3. Our local Publix had it well stocked. In fact, when I was there on Tuesday, they still had several boxes. I love the idea of the soft peppermint stick as a stirrer. Those are my favorite peppermints! :)

  5. Sprouts (formerly Henrys) in California carried Candy Cane Lane along with several other "Christmas" teas.

  6. I only found it at QFC (a local Seattle area upscale grocery) 2 weeks before Christmas and never there after! Glad you found it! It is so delish!

  7. Your pink glass teacup is very pretty - what a thoughtful gesture. I haven't been looking for Candy Cane Lane tea. I'm still using up a couple of boxes leftover from last year. :-)

  9. Wow, I got a box of tea from my daughters and I think it is this same tea! It's downstairs but I will look in a bit. I love mint teas and can't wait to try this one. Went to look for some more of the Twinings Christmas Tea but they had sold out. Next year I'll get several boxes when I first see it - I really like that one!

  11. Trader Joe's has their version of Candy Cane Lane tea. And since other companies make their products I would bet it's made by Celestial Seasonings. The box and packaging remind me of CS. I just finished my box on Christmas Eve.

  12. Yay, for you! Now I know how fortunate I am to live where the Celestial Seasonings Christmas selection is in abundance. I have however discovered Twinings Christmas Tea, and worry about finding more. Oh well, Happy New Year!

  15. Oh yes, I think I bought about 5 or 6 boxes. My husband isn't drinking caffeine these days and does enjoy this one as it is de-caf. I even like it.

  16. I don't know why my previous comment posted twice...sorry! My tea was actually the Trader Joe's variety, and it was delicious, I tried a cup last night. Will be on the lookout for the CS version, too. Happy New Year!
