A new teapot Christmas ornament

Have any of you come across new teacup or teapot Christmas ornaments lately? The only ones I've seen are little porcelain ornaments at T.J. Maxx, and I've already got quite a few of those. They also had some of the cloisonne teapot ornaments, but those are a bit too Asian looking for my frou-frou pink feather tree. So, I was happy to find, at the Fairhope Pharmacy's Christmas Round the Corner Shop, this Old World Christmas teapot.

I love that it has a different design on the back!

And as I was at the counter ponying up for my ornament, I happened to glance up and saw this building in a Christmas village on display. A tea shop! The clerks in Fairhope were all quite friendly, and the one here graciously permitted me to snap a photo.

I've never collected Christmas villages, and don't intend to since I already collect too much stuff as it is, but ... isn't this adorable! Turns out it is from the Dept. 56 line of Christmas collectibles. If one of you would like to buy it, I'll come visit it!

  1. What a lovely teapot for your tree. So adorable!!!!!tammyp

  2. Good morning, Angela. I love your new teapot ornament. It is so colorful! I will definitely be looking for it in my neck of the woods. As for the Dept 56 Village piece you found it is called "Canton Tea Trading" and is from their Dickens Village Collection, which I collect with a passion. In my opinion, an even prettier
tea-themed piece from the same collection is the "Teaman and Crupp China Shop", which can be seen Here. I love the little teapot sign outside its door.

I also wanted to say I am enjoying your 12 Days of Christmas supplement. Some of your creations are just so lovely and great on the budget, too! Yesterday's show of your Santa Cup collection was fun to read.

In the spirit of this season, I wish a very Merry Christmas, to you and all who enjoy this blog. May it be filled with peace, cherished friends and family, and wonder!

  3. Hello! What a pretty tea pot ornament! I tend to prefer glass ones like this over the ceramic ones because the glass ones are lighter. As I have hung ornaments from our tree year after year, I have developed a preference for light ornaments. But that is an aside. Your ornament is lovely.

  4. Thanks, y'all! And Karen, I love that china shop in your link. Maybe I need to rethink collecting these ... thanks for sharing that!

  5. Good Morning, Angela
This post reminded me that I had an Old World Christmas ornament that I received in an exchange last year. I found their website and saw that they have a couple of teapot ornaments. Below is the link you might be interested in.
I want to wish you and all those who read this blog a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  6. Ooh, more teapot ornaments? I must check this out! Thanks!

  7. Angela,
Here is another Tea Room from Dept56. Enjoy!
